SUMMER 2022
MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS!
PRIMARY
MS. ASHLEY
During the school year, I am the Primary Head Teacher at Maple Corner Montessori. This is my third year teaching at MCM but I have been teaching this age group for approximately seven years now. I graduated from UCC in 2015 with an associate degree in early childhood education and received my Montessori certification upon the first year working here. I believe that children learn best when they are having fun so I try to incorporate their interests into my curriculum. Some of my favorite things to do when I am not teaching children is to hunt, fish and explore the mountains. My husband and I have a German short-haired pointer who loves to tag along on all of our adventures.
ELEMENTARY
MS. KATIE
What I love most about Summer Camp is the flexibility to explore new topics in fun hands-on ways, while providing children with the gift of time and play. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in elementary education. This is my seventh year as a teacher, fifteenth year in education, and my sixth year teaching summer camp! I believe in making learning fun so students participate in engaged learning. My husband and I have two children, four cats and two fish.
Our helpers in the class this year will be Ms. Megan, Ms. Jessica and Ms. Shelby.
Jack had so much fun. We were very happy to have Jack participate in such a caring environment.
She is having a great summer. Thank you for this opportunity to have her stay busy and have fun every day. We love the different themes each week.
We so appreciate all you do. Ellie has had a wonderful, fun and enriching camp experience.
